When Matt met Rob…

Matt and Rob met almost 4 years ago when Matt interviewed Rob for a job. From this first meeting as kindred spirits they bonded over a love of seafood and a deep-rooted commitment to shared values in hospitality.


The friendship that ensued developed as they ran a small but very highly regarded restaurant together for 6 months and continued as other projects developed. It was at Matt’s wedding 2 years later that the idea for the Oystermen germinated, as together they shucked Oysters for the guests.

The Oystermen may be Matt and Rob’s baby but it’s a team effort all round.

Restaurant Manager Andrea, the World’s only ginger Italian, leads a fun team of dedicated oyster-shucking, service-loving guys ‘n’ gals, many of whom have worked with us through our various journeys prior to this point.
